Ride Cancellations Due to Weather Events:
When Montgomery County schools are closed for weather events all Greater Olney Rides, Inc. rides are cancelled. If the schools are open and the volunteer driver believes that the situation is unsafe, or he/she is uncomfortable driving, that particular ride will be cancelled. The volunteer driver will be responsible for notifying the rider and the GO Rides ride coordinator about the cancellation. In any situation that the volunteer driver believes is unsafe, which includes, but is not limited to, electrical storms, torrential downpours, flooding, etc. the driver should cancel the ride and notify the rider and coordinator.
