JCA’s Ride Smart Program

Using Public Transportation is Good for You…and the Environment!
Take advantage of free and discounted bus rides in Montgomery County.
Learn how to use public transportation with JCA’s “Ride Smart” travel training program.
JCA’s mobility specialists are travelling to Holiday Park Senior Center and Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center to teach participants how to travel via bus; read bus schedules and Metro System maps; understand fare schedules; and learn how to save money by using a Senior SmarTrip card. Free SmarTrip cards distributed as part of the training.
Day One: From 10:00 am – 1:30 pm, classroom instruction will cover what you need to know (lunch is provided FREE!)
Day Two: Enjoy a free bus and subway group trip from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
From then on, enjoy free Ride-On travel from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday and Friday and discounted Metrorail and Metrobus at all times!
June’s programs take place June 16 and 17 (Holiday Park) and June 22 and 23 (Margaret Schweinhaut).
